Just You

Beautiful Boudoir Photography in Dorset

My newest service is Just You, a beautiful and sensuous boudoir photography session, a perfect gift for the special person in your life, or even just for you – why not! Or have a bridal boudoir shoot and give your groom a very special album of his own!

Working in the comfort of your own home or in a studio space, my relaxed yet professional manner helps you to relax and enjoy your shoot, working only up to levels you are comfortable with. Preparing for your shoot is vital to get the results you want, and it’s useful if you’ve got an idea of what you are looking for. Any successful shoot is a creative collaboration between the photographer and the subject, whether a professional model or someone posing for the very first time and feeling a little nervous about it all! Communication is the key, and while I have lots of ideas and poses for you, I positively want to hear yours too! It’s a good idea to wear loose comfortable clothing to the shoot, and bring along your favourite items, and maybe one or two of his too! If you’ve got a favourite shirt, or jacket of his you sometimes borrow, pop that in your bag too, as well as any other props you fancy – a bowler hat, or sexy long gloves, Dr Martens or stilettos – whatever reflects your personality and lifestyle. Something to slip into between sets is useful too, a big comfy shirt or robe would be useful, and remember not wear anything that’s tight fitting and could leave marks on your skin, for at least an hour or so before your shoot. Bra strap marks on your shoulders can take ages to relax out!

And if you can, it’s a great idea to time your shoot after a visit to the hairdresser, or manicurist, and if you’re not having professional make up applied, please keep it quite simple and natural looking for this kind of shoot.

We’ll talk about what levels of posing you are comfortable with, lingerie, partially clothed, implied nude or nude; it would not at all unusual for you to suddenly feel a little bolder than you expected during the shoot but I’ll never ask you to anything you’re not comfortable with. And I would positively welcome it if you want to bring a girl friend with you; that’s absolutely fine, and can often be very useful! She might end up holding a reflector for me!
