Bumps and Babies

Pregnancy is such a special time in the life of a woman and her family, and it is a beautiful moment to capture in photographs, whether on your own, with your partner or indeed your other children too. More and more woman love to celebrate their pregnancy with a portrait shoot, and often book that as part of Bumps and Babies package. And after your pregnancy, everyone will want photos of your beautiful new baby – I especially love photographing the new borns – if you can do a photoshoot within the first two weeks, you will have some beautiful photographs to love forever!

Children

It is a total cliche but they grow so fast and change so quickly and before you know it, they’re bringing their own children round to see you. Whether you want a location shoot, on the beach or in the forest, at your home, or something in the studio, I can help, just give me a call and let’s have a chat about what you are looking for!

Teen Spirit

Another time of fast change, and so many opportunites for beautiful portraits. Your little girl is growing up quickly and trying out different loks, and different styles, changing before your eyes, and your little boy is not so little any more. Location shoots are great with this age group but the studio still has it’s place! Another fabulous idea at this age, and that can work well if your child is a litle self conscious, is to commission a set of images that show them doing what they love … be it ballet, or street dance, or with the drum kit. Who knows where such passions might lead?

Special Occasions

There are so many family occasions in our lives that deserved to be marked with special photographs – it’s often the whole family gets together! Weddings are an obvious example but any family celebration or get together can generate some beautiful memories. I’ve often photographed grandchildren as a present for grandmother’s 60th or 70th; photographs of their grandchildren are such a special gift and fafter all, they’ve often already got everything else they want! Big wedding anniversaries, big birthdays, little birthdays, christenings are all events I have photographed. And funerals are another family event that are being photographed more and more often; in fact in some cultutres, it as normal to have photographs at a funberal as it is at a wedding!

Where?

Based in Christchurch, I am really well placed to photograph your children and family in Bournemouth, Poole and throughout Dorset and the New Forest, and I love getting out and about to photograph couples, families and children at some of the beautiful places we have close to us, such as Hengistbury Head, Mudeford Sandspit, Stourhead, Kingston Lacey, and the Purbecks and many more!
